Domingo Ortiz

Worcester – Domingo Ortiz, 60, passed away on May 29, 2015;  He is survived by his life companion, Marianne Hazzard, with whom he has shared thirty three wonderful years;  four sons: Joseph Porter, Domingo Hazzard, Mark Hazzard, and Alex Sierra, all of Worcester; two daughters: Betsie Hazzard and Vanessa Hazzard, both of Worcester; two brothers: Jose Antonio Ortiz of Worcester, and Mariano Ortiz of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico; two sisters: Soles Ortiz and Elena Ortiz, both of Worcester; fifteen grandchildren, and one grandchild on the way.  Domingo was predeceased by a brother Pedro Ortiz of Worcester, and a sister Aida Ortiz of Worcester.

Domingo was born in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico on February 6, 1955, son to Amadeo Ortiz and Petra Miranda;  He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1977-1981.  Domingo was very artistic and greatly enjoyed oil painting, and wood carving;  He was also an avid fisherman and will be remembered for his desire to help others and for the unconditional love he had for his family; He will truly be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

All are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday June 4, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA.  The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday June 5, 2015 at 11:00 am followed by the funeral mass at 12:00 noon in St. Peter’s Church , 929 Main Street Worcester, MA.  Committal will follow in Hope Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Domingo’s family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the GoFundMe page established by the family.  To share a memory or offer condolences, a guest book is available at www.gpmfunerals.com.
