Lawrence Laganelli Sr.

Shrewsbury- Lawrence Laganelli Sr., 92, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital after a sudden illness.

Lawrence was born in Worcester a son of the late Antonio and Jean (Rosetti) Laganelli. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. After leaving the military, Lawrence went to work as a foremen doing manufacturing work. He then went on to open numerous beauty salons throughout the city.  Lawrence loved to fish and to socialize with his wife and son while traveling to entertain throughout New England.

Lawrence leaves his wife of 71 years Frances I. (Multeri) Laganelli of Shrewsbury, and his three sons: Lawrence Laganelli Jr. and his wife Angela of FL., Richard Laganelli, and Mark Laganelli, his caretaker, of Shrewsbury.  He also leaves four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Anthony Laganelli of PA., and Ronald Fitzback of Worcester, and a sister Beverly Ford and her husband Russell of Oxford.

Lawrence was predeceased by his parents, a brother Angelo Laganelli and two sisters: Fran Mahoney and Mickey Ethier.

A Graveside Service for Lawrence will be held Monday, July 15, 2016 at 11:30AM at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury. There are No Calling Hours. Please meet at the cemetery.
