Robert Storm-Brunell Obituary

Robert Alan Storm-Brunell died in his home in Worcester, MA on October 8,2024, aged 66.

Robert Alan Brunell was born to Charlotte (Phillips) and David R. Brunell February 10, 1958 in Boston, MA. He was raised in Worcester, MA with his 2 siblings. After high school he embarked on a journey of self-discovery which included 2 stints at a kibbutz in Israel. There he met his future wife, Line Storm from Denmark. Line subsequently moved to the states where they married and raised their two children in Worcester. During those years until 2002, Bob was the leading salesman at his father's type setting firm, Pace. He also worked as a talented freelance graphic artist. The family eventually moved to Hollywood, Florida for several years. Line returned to Denmark followed eventually by both children. Bob returned to Worcester where he spent the last several years with his devoted partner, Brenda Landgren Miller.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Line Storm-Brunell and their 2 adult children, Philip and Heidi Brunell and 2 grandsons, Storm and Mason Brunell, all now living in Denmark; his father and mother-in-law David and Debbie Brunell of Jensen Beach, FL; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey S. Brunell and Tara (Hayle); and his sister, Laurie Brunell of Grosvenordale, CT.

He was a talented baseball player at Doherty High School in Worcester and at Worcester Academy. As a loving husband and father, he became the unofficial host for the Brunell family/friends' celebrations where he serenaded all with his guitar and beloved Grateful Dead music. Bob was a mellow guy with a warm, welcoming heart. He further hosted friends and family by becoming a skilled, self-taught chef. His many talents included gardening. He will be sorely missed by his scores of friends and family in both the states and his adopted country of Denmark which he visited many times up until the last few years.
