Robert Johnson Obituary

Worcester – Robert E. Johnson, 90, passed away at home on August 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness;

Robert leaves behind: three sons: William H. Johnson and his wife Susan of Auburn, Christopher A. Johnson, and Scott D. Johnson and his wife Garnett of Worcester, with whom he lived; his sister: Gladys Hennessy of Worcester; He also leaves several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister: Helen Richardson,

Robert was born in Worcester on January 29, 1928, son of the late Gustaf and Bernice (Case) Johnson; He was raised in Worcester and lived here throughout his life; He worked for Parker Metals for forty years, retiring twenty-eight years ago; He was a veteran of the Korean War and served honorably in the United States Army.  Robert loved spending time with his family, going to or hosting cookouts in his backyard; He loved to talk to his grandchildren, taking them fishing and he enjoyed going to the casino with his sister.  Robert will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Robert's life will be held on Wednesday August 22, 2018 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA; Committal will follow in Hope Cemetery.
