Rita "Bunny" Elizabeth (Gagnon) Polanco, 57
Worcester - Rita Polanco, daughter of the late Alfred Gagnon and Elmira Louise Gagnon (Suprenant), of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Bunny leaves behind her companion of 27 years, Beatrice Tolson, two daughters, Ruby Polanco-Aponte, husband Juan, Rosa Polanco-Bates, husband Gerald and son, Mario H. Polanco, Jr., all from Worcester.
Her beloved grandchildren, Lukas, Lexi, Elizabeth, Mario III, Anthony, Juan Jr, Ema, Jerika, Brittany, Tiffany, Dylan and Steven, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and siblings.
Bunny grew up in Main South, where she spent many years working at Main South Liquors and bartending at the Cardinal.
Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, listening to country music, watching westerns and being amused by her little friend "Charlie" the squirrel.
Calling Hour will be held Wednesday 10-11 a.m. at Graham, Putman and Mahoney Funeral home, 838 Main Street with a Mass following at St. Peter's Parish, 929 Main Street, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Peter's Parish.
