Olga Iris Ramos

  Olga Iris Ramos, 56, of Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away on September 28, 2020 in her home.

  She was born to Maria Lucila Rodriquez and Enrique Saez on November 16, 1963, in the small town of Comerío, Puerto Rico.

  Olga is survived by her husband, Antonio Ramos, their three daughters, Tania Iris Castro Montanez, Arliana Emilia Castro, and Vanessa Ramos, their grandchildren Olaris Bacet Castro Rosa, Samuel Montanez Jr., Luis Omar Canario, Arliani Emilia Castro, Luis Antonio Diaz, Kemuel Jovan Montanez, Talia Samantha Montanez, Lucy Ani Diaz and their great-grandson Jeulien Aziel Castro Gilbert. Her brothers and sisters Yolanda Rodriguez, Carmen Saez, Luz Saez, Maritza Saez, Ana Ramos, Miquel Saez & many other family members & friends.

  She was a strong, fierce, proud Puerto Rican woman who, when it came to her family, showed unquestionable love, unwavering loyalty, and fought tenaciously to protect them with her will of fire. Behind an almost austere exterior, Olga was a loving homemaker and nourishing caretaker who raised her three daughters and her grandchildren to be just as strong & proud as her. She was an amazing mother who showed us love, fight, strength, honor & loyalty. She pushed her daughters to succeed in their college educational goals.

  She indulged in a myriad of hobbies such as gardening, dancing, listening to salsa music, trips to the casino, and watching novellas & she was talented working with technology. Olga also worked in retail. She loved going out with her best friend Margie and would talk to her sister Yolanda every day. Olga had an amazing talent for knitting and would invest countless hours crafting thoughtful handmade gifts like blankets and scarves for loved ones, and even fashionable wardrobes for her granddaughters Tali, Ani & Lucy’s dolls. She’ll be fondly remembered by her aroma of Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds, her favorite perfume.

  Calling hours will be held on Monday October 5th, 2020 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01610. Funeral service will be October 6th, 2020 at 10:00am followed by a committal to Hope Cemetery.
