Lucille Alice Cogswell, 77, of Boylston, MA died on Friday, April 9, 2021 after a long illness with her beloved family by her side.
Born in Boylston, MA, Lucille attended Worcester Public Schools and graduated from South High School. She worked as a secretary at the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury until her retirement. She liked to read, and she was a very creative knitter. She made decorative blankets, which she donated to various hospitals. She was very devoted to her family, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Lucille is survived by her two sons, Craig Cogswell of Boylston, MA, and his wife Christine Cogswell, and Matthew Cogswell of Clinton, MA; by her brother, Dennis Bean and his wife Jean Bean of Lancaster, MA, as well as her two nieces, Gretchen and Amanda; by her ex-husband, Richard Arthur Cogswell; by her grandson, Caden Fenton Cogswell and by her granddaughter, Chloe Roberta Cogswell. She is predeceased by her daughter, Heather Alice Cogswell, and by her parents, Fenton Hurley Bean and Barbara Alice Bean.
There will be a Memorial Service at the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury, 19 Church Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations in her memory may be donated to the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury.
