He was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on December 22, 1966, son of Epifanio Cartagena and Evangelia Rivera.

Calling Hours will be on Monday April 16, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA.  The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home; Committal will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
