John M. Hancock

Gilbertville – John M. Hancock, 55, passed away at home on Sunday January 8, 2017;

He is survived by his five children: Andrew, and his wife Stacey of Goffstown, NH, Amanda of Burlington, VT, Lynnsey of Worcester, Brendan and his wife Katy of Hubbardston, and Joey (best bud/scooter) of Gilbertville; Five grandchildren: Bella, Joey, Colby, Connor, and McKenna; his parents:  Joseph W. and Marie (Pellerin) Hancock of Waltham; two brothers: Joseph amd his wife Barbara of Framingham, Brian of Ashby; One sister: Sandy and her husband Doug of Holden; John also leaves many nieces and nephews which he loved very much;   He was predeceased by his beloved dog “Bear” along with his other pets.

John was born in Waltham, MA on October 25, 1961; He graduated from Waltham High School, and served as an auxiliary police officer for the Waltham Police Department; He was also a proud Army veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne.  John was a fan of hockey, wrestling, and he always tried to keep busy; He enjoyed walking his dogs, and having fun with his family.

Visitation will be on Monday January 16, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am in the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA; Committal will follow in All Faiths Cemetery.  To share a memory or offer condolences, a guest book is available at www.gpmfunerals.com.
