Worcester – Jennie Marie (Johnson) Goparian, 68, after a long battle with cancer passed away on December 15, 2016 at the Lutheran Home in Worcester

 

Jennie was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 5, 1948, but was raised in Worcester, MA; She graduated from the David Hale Fanning High School;  She also graduated from Anna Maria College earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

 

Jennie worked at St. Vincent Hospital as a dietary technician for several years, and later on went to work as an accountant for Jackson Hewitt. Jennie was married to Jacob Goparian Jr, together they had three children: David E. Goparian, Dina P Goparian, and Donavan E. Goparian; Jennie leaves two brothers: Robert M. Johnson, and his wife Gloria, and Patrick J. Johnson; Three sisters: Christine C. (Johnson) Pulkkinen, and her husband Sulo, Margaret R. Johnson, Paula L. (Johnson) Irvine, and her husband Mark; She also leaves nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren;She also leaves several nieces and nephews and also several great nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her father Robert M. Carney, and her parents: Elizabeth T. McGinnis, and Sven H. Johnson, and by her brother John A. Johnson.

 

Jennie was an avid KENO player, she loved to travel, spend time at the cape; She also enjoyed painting and discussing politics.  Jennie will be sadly missed.

 

Jennies family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Lutheran Home for their loving care.
