I'm profoundly shocked and saddened beyond words to learn that Jeff is no longer with us. I leaned about it just yesterday when I was reminiscing about my past job in DEC, MA and searching where those friends are now. I was shocked to read the obituary next to Jeff's picture.
My first job right out of graduate school was at DEC/Compaq/HP. I've worked with Jeff in the same broader team, first in Maynard and then in Marlboro. We're very close friends at work as well as outside. He was very funny, kind & almost a brother to me. He offered his help when I was moving from my apt in Marlboro to Chelmsford, MA.
Jeff, myself and others would go to lunch together and go out for a walk literally every day. After I moved out of MA in 2005, I got busy with family and job, and haven't had much time to touch base with old friends back in MA. But I'd always remember Jeff and others that I used to work with.
Jeff had a good heart and he was a good friend. He loved cars, college football and driving to PA for Thanksgiving to see his family.
May God bless his soul. May he rest in heaven.
