Worcester – Dr. Hassane Lankoande, MD, 46, passed away at home while surrounded by his loving family and friends on July 27, 2019;
He is survived by: his wife Kidmalem Adamu; his son Shayan Lankoande; his daughter Amyra Lankoande; his mother Fatimata Diallo; his brother Ousseini Lankoande; four sisters: Aissa Simpore, Ramata Ouedraogo, Aminata Yoni, and Mariam Ouedraogo; he was predeceased by his father Ali Lankoande, and by his brother Karim Lankoande.
Dr. Lankoande was born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on December 19, 1972; he graduated from the University of Ouagadougou School of Medicine and later attained his United States Medical Licensing examination. He also completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and earned his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Gerontology. He enjoyed a variety of sports such as: football, soccer, golf, MMA, and fishing.
Besides being a loving husband and devoted father, Dr. Lankoande was a compassionate, humble, caring and a man of character who enjoyed life and who had a passion for caring for helping people; he was certainly a friend to countless people and will fondly be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him
Visitation will be on Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 9:00 – 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Dr. Lanokande’s life. A prayer service will take place at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, 100 Malcom X Boulevard, Roxbury, MA 02120 at 1:00 pm; Committal Services will follow at the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery, 670 Baker Street West Roxbury, MA 02132
