Donald E. Alberts Sr, 86, of Worcester Massachusetts passed away on May 26th, after a brief illness.
He was a devoted husband to Shirley (Welcome) Alberts for 65 years. He was the son of Herbert and Virginia Alberts. Donald was born and raised in Worcester and resided in Oxford Massachusetts most of his married life. Mr. Alberts was an army veteran of the Korean War where he served for 4 years. His first 3 years were served on the front line in Korea, his last year of duty he had the honor of serving at the White House. For most of his adult life Donald worked in the restaurant/catering business before retiring in the year 2000 from LaMountain Brothers Inc. He was the loving father of Linda (Alberts) Foley of PA. William Alberts of MA. Donald Alberts Jr of Florida and the late Harry Alberts of MA.
He also leaves behind his son in law John Foley of PA. and daughter in law Debbies Alberts of CT. and Nancy Alberts of MA. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to Donald Alberts III of CT. DaNean (Alberts) Ohayon of CT. Matthew Foley of PA. Jessica Foley of PA. Gabrielle Alberts of MA. and William Alberts of MA. He also is survived by 7 great grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Carolyn (Alberts) Davis and the late Herbert Alberts. He was an avid sports fan, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
