Cruz Martinez Gomez

 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cruz Martinez Gomez, who left this world on February 21, 2025, in Worcester, MA, at the age of 88. He was born on May 3, 1936, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, where his journey of love, laughter, and family began.

 Cruz was a devoted husband to Petra Reyes and a loving father to his seven beautiful children: Gloria Martinez, Cruz Martinez Jr., Ramon Martinez, Valentine Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Cruz Martinez, and Robert Martinez. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

 He was a man full of life and joy, always ready with a joke, a dance, or a game of dominoes. His presence could light up any room, and his laughter was contagious. Cruz’s love for his family and friends was unwavering, and he created countless cherished memories that will live on forever.

 Calling hours will be on Friday February 28th, 2025 from 4pm-7pm at Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors 838 Main St, Worcester, Ma 01610. Burial will be in San Lorenzo, PR with his wife Petra Martinez (Reyes) and his daughter Gloria Martinez.

Con gran pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Cruz Martínez Gómez, quien dejó este mundo el 21 de febrero de 2025 en Worcester, MA, a la edad de 88 años. Nació el 3 de mayo de 1936 en San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, donde comenzó su viaje de amor, risas y familia.

 Cruz fue un esposo devoto de Petra Reyes y un padre amoroso para sus siete hermosos hijos: Gloria Martínez, Cruz Martínez Jr., Ramón Martínez, Valentín Martínez, Jesús Martínez, Cruz Martínez y Robert Martínez. Su legado sigue vivo a través de sus hijos, nietos y todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

 Era un hombre lleno de vida y alegría, siempre listo para una broma, un baile o una partida de dominó. Su presencia podía iluminar cualquier habitación y su risa era contagiosa. El amor de Cruz por su familia y amigos era inquebrantable, y creó innumerables recuerdos preciados que vivirán para siempre.

 El horario de atención será el viernes 28 de febrero de 2025 de 4 p.m. a 7 p.m. en Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors 838 Main St, Worcester, Ma 01610. El entierro será en San Lorenzo, PR con su esposa Petra Martínez (Reyes) y su hija Gloria Martínez.
