Arlene Harvey Obituary

Arlene Harvey, 58, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on May 9, 2024, in Worcester, MA.

She was born on July 20, 1965, in Worcester, MA, and is predeceased by her loving mother, Eleanor Beley, and her dear sister, Robin Latino.

Arlene is survived by the light of her life, her grandson Savant Grice, her loving daughters, Trisha Haight and Cassie Harvey, and her husband of 40 years, Dale Haight. Additionally, she is survived by her best friend and sister, Lori Potter, and her brother, Richard Beley, of CT. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in Criminal Justice later in life, while battling breast cancer.

Before anything else, Arlene was a grandmother and then a mother. You could not spend a minute with her without her talking about Savant and what he was doing. Being a grandmother was her entire world and the reason why she fought so hard and for so long.

Arlene had a passion for crafts, just like her mom, that she passed on to her girls and surrounding family as gifts. As she battled illness, she especially loved making diamond art. She spent many hours with family watching "90-day Fiancé" and "Dr. Pimple Popper." She loved dolphins and Dunkin' Donuts coffee. To know Arlene was to laugh at the hilarity of her one-off jokes and her straightforward questioning.

She will be missed most for the way she made all of us feel deeply loved.

A memorial will be held at Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors 838 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01610 on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 5 to 7pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories.

“You can love me best by letting hands touch hands, and by letting go of children that need to be free. Love doesn’t die, people do. So, when all that’s left of me is love, give me away.”
