Annette Fortinallis Obituary

Annette Fortinallis, aged 99, passed peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Topsfield, MA. She was born in Boston on February 26, 1925.

Annette was a spirited and vivacious individual, beloved for her quick wit, sarcasm, and feisty independence. She was a true diva and the life of the party, always dressed in beautiful clothes and jewelry, which mirrored her vibrant personality. Annette had a fulfilling career with the City of Boston, where she was among the first group of Boston Parking Meter Supervisors (Meter Maids) in the late 1960s through the early 1990s. Even after retirement, her commitment to service shone through as she volunteered with the American Red Cross at the age of 85, serving as an interpreter during the Kosovo Conflict. A devout member of St George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral in South Boston, Annette’s faith was a significant part of her life. Her hobbies included shopping, travel, flower arranging, ceramics, and engaging in puzzles and card games, which kept her mind sharp and spirit engaged.

Annette leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters Denise McNulty (Philip) of Rowley, MA, and Lisa Donovan of Bethel Park, PA; grandchildren Keri, Brendon, and Connor McNulty, Casey (Donovan) Gigante, and Stephen Donovan; and great-grandchildren Anna, Liam, Owen McNulty, Jack, Abigail, and Juliet Gigante. She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews and loyal friends. She was preceded in death by her spouse Charles Fortinallis, her parents Theodore and Olympia (Pilla) Konde, siblings Tafta Flessas, Victor Konde, Florence Mazza, and beloved nephews Peter Stefan and Jay Mazza.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date to honor Annette’s remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, an organization close to her heart, or Harborside Hospice of Massachusetts who tenderly cared for Annette in her final days.

Annette’s legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Graham, Putnam and Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St Worcester, Ma 01610.
