Anita L.(Desautels) Murphy, 80, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside in
Worcester, MA on December 10, 2018. Born in Worcester, MA , she attended Worcester,
MA schools. She was known as “The Great Green Witch of Worcester.” She went to day
care centers, nursing homes and schools to do their Halloween parties and parades. Mrs.
Murphy was a member of the Worcester Inter-Tribal Indian Center. Her Indian name is
Blue Owl.
She leaves a lifetime companion, Gilbert Hendrickson. She is survived by her two sons,
Jimmy and David Murphy and she is predeceased by her daughter, Debra Murphy. She is survived by six sisters and three brothers and by many nieces and nephews, by eighteen grandchildren, forty -one great grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. She is pre-
deceased by one grandson.
