Worcester – Thurman A. Hargrove Jr, 64, passed away on June 30, 2018 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center;
He is survived by: his wife Debra (Gomes) Hargorve, to whom he has been married for eleven years; his son: Thurman A Hargrove III of Worcester; two daughters: Chalice Gomes, and Briana Kesler, both of Webster; his brother: Michael Hargrove of Worcester; three sisters: Barbara Murray of North Carolina, Beatrice Charles of Springfield, and Magdalean Baxter of Southbridge; He also leaves many relatives and friends. Thurman was predeceased by his father: the late Rev. Thurman A Hargrove Sr, his mother: the late Mary M. (Hughes) Hargrove, and his brother the late Clarence “Willie” Hargrove.
Thurman was born in Worcester, MA on December 20, 1953; He served honorably as a member of the United States Navy. Thurman was a music enthusiast who not only enjoyed listening to music, but loved to sing, and play his saxophone; He also liked to go fishing.
All are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 8:30 – 10:30 am, followed by a prayer service at 10:30 am at the Second Baptist Church, 14 Hammond Street Worcester, MA; Committal with Military Honors will follow at the Massachusets Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.
