Southbridge- Today I write this in loving memory of Seth Allen Phillips, born September 14, 1989, and died on October 15, 2016. As for words, he was indescribable. We had a saying in my family, Seth was a four letter word, and that word was “work”. He was work to be his friend, family or even just to know of him. He was work to love; he was work to party with, and work to be around. He was troubled, always, throughout his entire life. His demons were unable to be caged; they destroyed him, even through all his great attributes. Many of us battled alongside him, but addiction always overcame us. To be numb is what he craved. We all know he is at peace finally not battling the inevitable daily addiction. He will never be forgotten, was loved by all, and even if you didn’t like him, you would learn to love him, and he would make sure of it. He was known to love deeper than most, and his smirk would win even his enemies over.
He has left behind his entire family: Both his parents, Milissa & Frank Phillips, His stepmother, Carla von Arx, His grandmother, Patricia Feinauer, His aunt & uncle, Cynthia Frogge and Patrick Moriarty, Both his cousins, Jessica and Patrick Moriarty, His half-brother, Gideon Frogge, His only sister, Patricia Phillips, and his niece Aurora Phillips, along with many friends.
We hope to share his memory with everyone as the days pass without him we will all continue to grieve. The anger, sadness, and acceptance will come through us all at different times. Always remember though, he is not struggling everyday anymore, his days were numbered, and now their done. He is at peace, and the demon of addiction has released him.
A Memorial Service for Seth will be Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10am-2pm at 9 Henry Street, Apt. 3, Southbridge, MA. All Are Welcome to Attend.
