Heidi Rossner Obituary

Worcester – Heidi M. Rossner passed peacefully into the energy of the universe on January 17th, 2019 at 5 o’clock in the morning after a long battle with a MRSA infection; she was 45 years old; she leaves her loving partner Frank Rivers, her son Michael Starbard, her daughter Marie Kaitlyn Roy, her grandson Richie who was the light of her life and his mother Summer Merlini; she also leaves her mother Karen Curcio, her father Peter Rossner, her brothers Max and Nathan Rossner, and her grandfather Leonard Curcio; she also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, all her adopted kids, and her dear pets Tulia and Odie.

The family gives thanks the team of Doctors and Nurses at Massachusetts General Hospital who provided her with outstanding passionate care.

“Do not go gentle into that good night…rage against the dying of the light” was how she lived her life: always fighting for what she thought was right, putting others first, fighting social injustices, and opening her home to anyone who needed a couch to sleep on for a night, or as long as they needed; she believed what she had was for sharing with the people she loved.

Her passions in life were her children, her grandson, and her long involvement in turtle rescue and preservation; she took countless abandoned reptiles and sick or injured turtles; she nursed them back to health and found loving homes for them.

She was a Personal Care Attendant and provided loving care to several people in their homes.

Heidi loved good music, good movies, and she was an avid reader; she had a great sense of humor, and loved attending concerts.  Heidi was brilliant intellectually, she was self-taught, and she struggled with the disease of addiction.

The family asks those who want, to send donations to causes of their own passions, or to her own: The Turtle Rescue League of Southbridge, MA.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors.
