Gilberto Rivera

Worcester – Gilberto Rivera, 52, passed away on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center;

He is survived by his mother: Luisa Rivera-Perez of Worcester; his wife: Miriam Justiniano; his daughter: Lily Anna Rivera of Shrewsbury; his brother: Angel Luis Rivera of Worcester; four sisters: Luisa Rivera, Migdalia Rivera,  and Carmen Rivera all of Worcester, and Nereida Rivera of Florida; his nephews: Walter Borrero and Michael Borrero; nieces: Stephanie Rivera and Abigail Rivera; he also leaves many more, relatives and friends; he was predeceased by his father: Miguel A. Rivera Sr, and two brothers: Jose L. Rivera and Miguel A. Rivera Jr.

Gilberto was a joyful and gentle soul; he was always ready and willing to help others in their times of need; he cherished the fun times he had with his countless family members and friends. Whether it was watching the Red Sox, the Patriots or playing dominoes Gilberto will fondly be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor and for being the life of the party.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 11, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday August 12, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA; Committal will follow in Hope Cemetery.
