Darren Edward McTigue, 60 of Worcester passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 17, 2021 at UMass Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was born in Worcester and was a lifelong resident Darren leaves behind his mother Evelyn (Auger) McTigue, brothers David McTigue and his wife Christine of Charlton, Daniel McTigue and his wife Lisa and Douglas McTigue and his wife Judy Desroches of Worcester. He also leaves his fiancée Tina White of Worcester, her daughter April LaFond of TX and many friends and family.
Darren was predeceased by his father Donald McTigue Sr and a brother Donald McTigue Ir.
Darren was blessed with skills and mechanical aptitude since childhood. He would take apart small engines and electrical appliances and repair them at an early age. These abilities led to a career as a self employed carpenter, master painter, mechanic and most recently, a foreman for Trolano Trucking. Darren was generous with his talents and was the "go to guy for help with projects, working side by side with his brothers. Darren also had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly dogs. He was affectionately known as "the dog whisperer" for his ability to handle animals. Darren was most happy spending time at home with Tina.
The family would like to thank Mark Troiano and Ritchie Bradley for their friendship and support of Darren before and after his health declined.
