Webster/Puerto Rico – Victoria Sanchez Maldonado, 70, passed away on April 9, 2017 at the Worcester Health Center;
She is survived by her son: Eric Merced ; three daughters: Ivette Merced Cruz and her husband Max Cruz, and Mayra Molina, both of Webster, and Lizzette Hernandez of Oxford; three brothers: Felipe Sanchez, Felipe Luis Sanchez, and Felipe Freddie Sanchez, all of New York; two sisters: Nelly Ortiz of Puerto Rico, and Elsa Sanchez of New York; five grandsons: Anthony Cruz, Max Luis Cruz, Jose Cintron, Jordan Molina, and Jason Panient; fourteen granddaughters: Linnette Bonefont, Ashley Rivera, Crystal Cintron, Amanda Molina, Erica Merced, Jacqueline Figueroa, Chastity Merced, Vanessa Rodriguez, Stephanie Merced, Desaray Merced, Emily Merced, Christina Merced, Felicia Irizarry, and Marylee Panient; four great grandsons, and four great granddaughters, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; She was preceded in death by her loving husband Anibal Merced.
Victoria was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico on November 14, 1946, daughter of Felipe Sanchez and Esther Maldonado; She worked as a school bus driver for many years. Victoria was a very feisty and outspoken woman who had a passion for cooking and gardening; She greatly enjoyed taking trips to the casino, rejoicing when she won, and cursing when she lost. Victoria was a joyful and outgoing woman who will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
All are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday April 13, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA; Funeral and Committal Services will be held in Puerto Rico.
