Worcester – Carmen D. Colon, 61, passed away on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and friends;
She is survived by her husband: Ramon Luis Nieves; her son: Gualberto Llerandez Colon of Worcester; her daughter Carmen Llerandez;; her sister: Sonia E. Colon, as well as many relatives and friends; She was predeceased by two brothers: Jorge Colon and Guillermo Colon
Carmen was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on February 26, 1955, daughter of the late Ecudemio and Carmen (Santiago) Colon; She was a devout member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for many years, as well as the Juan XXIII Society. Carmen greatly enjoyed dancing to her favorite music, shopping with her friends, and cooking; She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be on Saturday December 10th from 8:30 - 9:30 am in the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 570 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA; Committal will be private.
