Bernadina Esquilin

Southbridge/Worcester - Bernadina Esquilin, 83, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday April 9, 2016;

She is survived by two daughters: Maria Carrico, and her husband William of Southbridge, and Sandra Vasquez of Florida; seven grandchildren: Erick Nieves and his wife Sangie, Frankie Nieves, Daniel Medero, Jackelynn Medero, Amaya Granmaison, Mary Nieves, and Luz M. Nieves; two great-grandchildren: Gabriel Nieves, and Travis Nieves, one sister: Benita Esquilin, as well as many relatives, and friends.

Bernadina was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on June 10, 1932, daughter of Jose Esquilin and Eusebia Garcia; She moved to Worcester with her family in 1981, and worked hard to care for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who she loved so dearly; She was a devout Christian, belonging to the Iglesia La Hermosa in Worcester, prior to moving to Southbridge to be with her family;  She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

All are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday April 14, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA;  The funeral will be held on Friday April 15, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home; committal will follow in Hope Cemetery.
